Dear Doug,

I realize roots are not a favorite on 811, and I also realize
this is probably not a big deal, but I am a big fan of proper
food combining\mono meals (like you) and not sure about how
to perfectly combine these roots I enjoy (not often) in my
salads - Parsnip, Celeriac, Carrots, Beets, all peeled and
relatively fresh (not freshly-picked).

For istance: A bowl of grated carrots in OJ .. or grated
parsnips in tomato sauce .. too much of an acid/starch combo,
generally? how about with sweet apples (sugar-starch?) .. how
about with a handful of nuts (protein-starch)? or should
these not be considered 'starches' in food combining?
