You did 'energy work'? Sounds like you are into wu wu nonsense and
as a result will have a mindset that creates fatigue that isnt even

How did you know you hit 'burn out'? Cos you felt a bit sleepy when
you woke up? Burn out is when you get smashed in training and races
by people you normally stomp and you have been
training/eating/sleeping as usual but just getting weaker. Thats
when you need to have a few months off and just do light walking.

Keep a training diary. Upload your runs to strava and track your HR
patterns. When you used to run 25mins for 5k and now doing 28
mins at the same HR on the same course under the same variables,
then yeah, you massively overcooked it and need that break.

NOBODY on earth runs pbs each race Not even the WR holders on
EPO and blood doping.
