Subject:         omega 3's and omega 6's

why is there a majority of times more omega 6's than omega 3's in fruits and greens and how does one know that they are getting the proper ratio proportions of both by just eating fruits and greens with no overts for months and up to a year or longer with no overt fats whatsoever and why do you hear in the mainstream media that omega 3's so much more important to have. thank you sincerely
