Hi Dana. I may have a few helpful suggestions. I've been
consistently weight training for about 10 months, in addition to
lots of other movement (intervals on bike or elliptical, swimming
intervals or distance, yoga, long walks or bike rides, hiking etc..
Anything I feel like doing). I've noticed a great increase in
muscle and a loss in fat. You will notice the same with
consistency. Do what you can. Maybe you can only walk for five
minutes to start - that's ok. You'll improve as you continue to
move. I like to use the smart phone app called mynetdiary. You
can put in your current weight and other stats and it will show
you your bmr. You can also put in your goal weight. Then you
put in what you eat each day and your activity for the day. It will
show you how much of a deficit you have in calories each day
and how much deficit you need to reach your goal. It takes into
account your activity for that day. It's such a great way to track
things. Especially to track what you are eating when you are just
beginning 811rv, because it's easy to under eat. You won't
always have to track things because you'll know you're getting
enough. Good luck!
