Subject:         losing fat and building muscle questions

can you lose fat and gain muscle in the same day? if you have excess fat to lose you should focus on that first, then when the body fat is lower, focus on building muscle correct?

if you did strength training exercises do you need to eat greens/protein right after to rebuild the muscle? how do you know how much extra to eat ie does it depend how much strength training you actually did? I assume doing just pushups would need a different amount than a full body workout?

I am wondering if it depends on each meal, say if you were in an overall calorie deficit would you still build muscle if you had your calories right after exercise or do you need to be in an ongoing surplus of calories? I am trying to figure out a reasonable plan for myself. I am not very active at all right now and have no idea how much id burn during different light exercises. how would I estimate that?

last question. whats the best cardio exercise for fat loss? intervals? I heard you should train in your heart rate zone for fat burning but if you go higher you burn more calories and thus more fat as well. I never even get my heart rate up because I usually do something like walk on the treadmill and find it hard to push since im fairly out of shape and overweight.
please someone help me come up with a good plan I can believe in and start working on!
