Subject:	Dr. D.,So many people trying to raise money for the cure of so many illnesses-why not change their diets?

Dr. D.,In my family, I have 2 nephews that have cystic fibrosis and 1 nephew who is in remission for leukemia. My nephew who is in remission, his mom continues to let him go to functions that raise money for the cure and he is continually given hundreds of dollars of free gifts and vacations. Every year we are asked to support these causes. Of course I want to help, but I tried to get my nephew to buy a vitamix with my donation, and they weren't interested. Their CF Dr's tell them to feed them as much of antything they want to keep wait on them. They feed them horrible. The same is true for my nephew w/leukemia. And now on the news women having masectomies to prevent cancer! OMG -CHANGE OUR DIETS PEOPLE- I can't even get my family to understand. What can we do? I am willing to go public! Something has got to give! GC
