Thanks Doug, and I get your perspective. I'm all into organics,
having lived and worked on a CCOF farm for 5 years in
California (ran by one of the people who developed the original
CCOF guidelines) and currently exploring buying land and
organic farming in the tropics.

Right now I'm in Berlin with my boyfriend who has just recently
started doing this diet with me and who is on a very tight
budget. If we aren't able to make some compromises, at least
right now, he probably can't continue. And it helps me a lot
that he's doing this with me. Also I'm exploring whether it's
feasible for me to live part-time here with him. Thankfully it's
only part-time here, but like I said, I'd rather make some
compromises than go back to eating potatoes every night.

So I was hoping to get a better realistic understanding of the
science of *how bad* certain foods *really are* to not eat
organic. My system is very sensitive—I'm the canary in the coal
mine. So I want to stick to the safest conventional foods when I
have to go that route.

We live in a Turkish area and actually the Turkish markets have
great prices on pineapples, watermelons & citrus. So I am
really hoping my health might tolerate those? And also at the
Turkish farmers market the other day, they were practically
throwing super ripe tasty baby bananas at me for free (five
bags of them for 1 euro).

Anyway, I also want the world to support organics more, but I
really appreciate any further perspective you might have.
Maybe when you said "might not harm you that much" you
were already answering my question? :) Thanks loads.
