Dear Dr. Graham,
First of all, I'm very grateful to be able to ask you questions in this space.
I have followed 811rv for a few months now and the results are great. For
this reason I can't stop fantasizing with the idea of persuading my 80
year-old diabetic mother to give it a try. She has had cholesterol, high
blood pressure and high blood sugar levels for the past 15 years, which
she gets monitored by her GP by medication and conventional dietary
constrictions which you may probably figure out. These guidelines are
basically cutting fruit (especially bananas, which she absolutely loves) and
of course refined sugars for the diabetes issue. Cutting egg yolks to
control cholesterol and avoiding salty items for blood pressure.
I still haven't tried to convince her to give 811 a try because I thought that
the reason why she is unable to efficiently process sugar might be her
having high fat levels in her system. This possibility makes me think that
she might not be able to process the carbs of a 811 diet in case she tried.
I know you don't give any personal advice here but maybe you've had
some similar cases in your practice and could shed some light on what
could work in these cases.
Thanks again.
