Hallo Dr. Graham, I follow for 3 years the 811 diet. Two month ago I went to the dentist, he found over 10 cavities in my mouth. He will fix the teeth over the year. I am really worried and shocked about the diagnosis. I was always aware of dried fruits, nuts, acid fruits, snacks between meals and tooth care. Question: Is it better to blend fruits and greens to minimize the damage of still existing cavities? Or will fruit eaten solely boost more the bacteria populatin in the mouth? What can I do better in the future to avoid cavities? Will a diet consisting of fresh foods and occasionally of dried fruits and nuts for recepies cause cavities? Or leads fresh food like bananas, grapes and co. also to cavaties? Thanks and Greeting from Germany Jussy
