Almost the same happened to us. After growing rapidly in the first eight months, my daughter's weight gain slowed down so much that it become almost unnoticeable (although at that time she liked and ate bananas once or twice a day besides nursing). As she showed no sings of unusual degree of hunger and her mood, sleep pattern and general development was okay, I tried not to worry, just was even more careful. We continued on breastfeeding on request and baby-led weaning (offering her whole, soft and sweet fruits to munch on). In two months we could see that her physical development was all right – what we had experienced earlier was just a passing unevenness. Now she is almost two and a half, not a giant, but just perfect :)
