Hello Everyone!
I am a brand new member as of yesterday so hello hello :)
I have just gone mad on reading because I have finally found some amazing and inspirational RAW food diet books.
I read Tonya Zavasta's book Quantum Eating which referred to Douglas Graham's 811rv diet, which I am sooo thankful for.
I was skeptical at first, but after a few pages into the book I was hooked and read the whole thing in one week. I have two very young children so that is a miracle for me.
Anyway to get to the point. I started practicing the 811rv about three weeks ago now after being 99% raw for the three months before that.
I have always struggled with weight gain and that is why I was drawn to Douglas Graham.
Initially I felt amazing, even elated, on the 811rv and I was aiming for 2500 to 3000 calories a day. I am currently in my last month of my last pregnancy and I am doing mostly really well.
I have a dilemma though... I am really struggling to keep up with the calories. I can't seem to fit them in. Maybe because baby is taking up all the room.
I have resorted to eating rice and cooked veges in the last two days just to get a boost of calories again, however, it makes me feel yuk and I am addicted to the feeling I get when I stay raw vegan.
Also, my weight is dropping again and even my friends and family are slightly concerned.
I really want to stick to this diet and thrive...
Does anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?
I'd love to hear from you.
Kind Regards,
Carmen
