Subject:         What's the best exercise if you are overweight & can it be enjoyable?

Hi Doug,

I came to this lifestyle in 2010 wanting to better my health
and fitness. I had got into the habit of just running and
cycling and not much else. With hard work and persistence
and a vegetarian diet it had taken me 7 years to lose around
100lbs. Though by the end of this I was still carrying excess
fat and was not toned at 5.4 and around 154lbs (female).

I then came across 811. I switched to fruit for breakfast and
lunch and a vegan meal for supper. Due to misunderstanding
about what low fat/salt actually means and pushing myself too
hard during new bodyweight workouts (I got injured after a
year) and not fully realizing about rest and sleep I am now
overweight (224lbs) and find any bodyweight exercise v.
difficult and tiring.

My weight actually peaked at 238lbs about 6 months ago. I
have since lost 14lbs since dropping the oil and salt and
doing alot of dog walking, but what I can do exercise wise is
still I feel v.trapped in my body. People around
me say I am not taking exercising seriously and have to push
harder, but it's really hard to do much else other than
walking at this weight. I've also been told I'm obsessed with
rest and sleep. I think if I lost another 14lbs I could
start to run again. I used to hula hoop and have only just
been able to hoop again, but can only last 5 mins. I feel
physically I am back at square one and don't know what the
best thing is to do in terms of exercising to get me back on
track. Not sure what to do, how much to do, how frequent, how
hard to push etc etc.

I have listened to alot of your audio material, but still
can't seem to crack this. Can you still enjoy exercise at
this weight?

Any advice would be appreciated.
