I'd like to eat fruits and vegetables only. I have great fun constructing meal plans
for myself that contain the right amount and ratio of the two essential fatty
acids: Omega 3 and Omega 6.
This is my meal plan today with the amount of EFA Omega 3-Omega 6 in grams
included:
Bananas 600g 0.15-0.25
Strawberries 1 kg 0.67-0.89
Mango 1.4 kg 0.5-0.19
Romaine lettuce 400g 0.46-0.19
Grapes 1 kg 0.11-0.37
Grand total: 2300 calories, 1.9 grams of Omega 3 and 1.9 grams of Omega 6.
This is considerably above 1.1-1.6 grams of Omega 3 that is recommended. And
it also contains a presumably perfect ratio of 1:1
Just as cravings for cooked food is an addiction, why not see the occasional
cravings for nuts and seeds the same way? Because the evidence is that we don't
need it. Nuts and seeds are good but not optimal foods. Particularly I notice it
sticks to my teeth. If I'll be alone championing this, it would be wonderful to be
my own scientific experiment. In about ten years time I'll see how it went :-)
