The lowest sodium requirement recommendation that I could find was 200mg per day. if a person eats 16 bananas, 10 dates and a head of romaine, that's only 70mg of sodium. 1800 calories Is it possible that a lot of high fruit eaters are getting insufficient sodium if they are not eating celery? Or are the requirements or estimates in foods wrong? might this explain a lot of 811 "failures to thrive"? as well as some symptoms of people on the diet? sodium deficiency symptoms Some of the first identifiable symptoms of too little sodium in the body are physical. You might experience fatigue, headache, muscle cramping and muscle weakness. It is important to recognize these symptoms and make an effort to consume sodium, most often in the form of a sports drink, and seek medical attention. In addition to these symptoms, low sodium in the body also causes loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting.
