but you don't think it is possible that one consumes more calories but loses more weight, keeping all other factors (exercise, sleep,..) constant?

there are many testimonials that state that they did not loose weight, until they upped their calories and started shedding magically without upping the exercise, because the body 'relaxed' and became a fat-burner instead of a fat-storer.

sounds so counterintuitive to me.
