What causes muscle loss other than not exercising? I am wondering why when eating way more calories than I could burn that I would lose weight and muscle strength? Could that be from a deficiency? What is stored in the muscles? Water and sodium? Would it have to do with hormone levels? Also if I'm very weak and have trouble with proper form on exercises with large muscle groups, what is an effective way to strengthen smaller muscles? I can do things like calf raises here in the hospital without getting caught being healthy, but how do I build muscle from it? Do I need to do it until burnout? What about something like tricep dips? I should do them until I can't do any more right? The only problem is that I need things to be fast, because the longer they take the higher chance I get in trouble.
