There is no such thing as ergonomic flip flops. Google "why are flip flops bad for your feet." There is one study out there that says the flips flops, even expensive ergonomic ones, are worse for you feet than high heels. This past summer I broke my little toe and I had to wear flip flops because regular shoes hurt my toe. After two months of flip flops I developed a condition called sesamoiditis. The only thing that got me on the road to recovery was a pair of $1600 orthotics. There is always a silver lining though. Even though I was a healthy vegan, I was probably carrying around an extra 15 pounds that probably wasn't doing my feet any favors. This movitated me to read Dr. Graham's book and go low fat raw vegan. I have been on the diet since December and have gone from wearing tight size 12 pants to very loose size 10 pants. (I hate scales so I don't know extactly how much weight I have lost.) Anyway, ditch the flip flops.
