Sorry for being ambiguous with my ‘diet blame’ comment. What I should have said was ‘sweet fruit’ instead of ‘diet’. (My previous diet, prior to the cancer diagnosis, consisted of only baked foods - starch and fat - and no raw foods whatsoever. I did not have any blurred vision issues on that diet.) My symptoms usually worsen following the consumption of sweet fruit, thus indicating that high-sugar is a factor, even in the absence of overts.

I have not tried eye exercises but will research some and get into a routine. However, I instinctively feel that this issue is to do with the processing of visual information rather than the eyes, but I might be wrong. I can focus my vision (onto a point) but the peripheral remains blurry and there is a general feeling that all is not well. It is hard to describe, but being in brightly-lit shops, as one example, feels very horrible.

When I said I ‘cheated’ what I actually did was, contrary to 811rv advice, include onions, garlic, sea vegetables and salt, as well as over-consuming avocados for periods lasting maybe a couple of weeks at a time (never anything cooked). I have gone many months (maybe three or four) without exceeding 10% fat (without any overts) but without improvement. I have not had any overts for some two months now, and no salt, onions, garlic or seaweeds either, yet my vision worsened over the past week finally prompting me to ask for help.

I have been wondering if it is caused by candida overgrowth. I did try ‘banana island’ but felt utterly unbalanced only eating bananas after a few days that I had to incorporate other foods. A 3-day water fast didn’t help much either.

Thanks.
