I'd suggest letting the scales do the talking for the moment, as you know you wish to drop weight. You don't have to cut the equation so close that your calories in are barely less than the calories out. Depending upon your weight, you can likely figure that you are burning perhaps 100 calories per hour at work, give or take 50. How do I know? Well, doing next to nothing requires about 50 calories per hour, and walking 3 miles per hour on flat ground uses about 150 for a lady. Likely you're work activities fall somewhere in that range.
