I enjoy lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and other such veggies quite much, as is. I hope you can too.
If you MUST use cumin, or other spices, I believe there is a problem. If you choose to use cumin once in a while, I can't say it is a huge issue. Daily is another story.
