I had not worried hitherto about safety factors, but the last 6 weeks or so I've given up on fresh fruit. Bananas I dislike considerably, even sweet varieties of apple taste sour-ish and unripe, ditto pears, grapes are from Africa, poor quality and not very sweet, citrus and tomato cause my lips to split and bleed despite the latter being in season. Basically everything is unripe and does not satisfy. So, I have taken to eating simply Deglet Nour (very dry ones, but I enjoy them that way), with a variety of greens, usually Chinese leaf, rocket, Pak choy and celery. I totally adore my greens, and feel quite happy with my diet. I wasn't bothered to post with the query, but Ted's has prompted me - Am I guessing right that this is ok for a few months more, until tolerable fruit is available at least from Europe?
