Subject:	Oily Lettuce?

Hi,

I've noticed the (conventionally grown, unfortunately)
lettuces I've been getting are often noticeably oily, as in
the leaves are feeling oily. I rememeber Doug saying
butterhead lettuce feels oily, however I'm talking about
romaine. Is this normal?
