Hi Dr. D, I would appreciate if you could share your thoughts on radiation treatment for skin cancer, and whether this is an good treatment method or if it should be avoided. In the past, I've had three BCCs removed from my face with Moh's surgery, with fairly good results, but this one is larger (10mm), and on the upper side of the nose, which would require skin grafting and perhaps a bone transplant. I'm also prone to developing keloid scars, and the radiation method claims to leave no scars. Since the radiated area is much smaller for skin cancer treatment than for other types of cancer, and it only goes a couple of mm deep, will the side effects be only local or will radioactive cells get distributed throughout the body when I detox and cause problems elsewhere? Is fasting after radiation a good or bad idea? Do your know anything about the long term side effects? I hear that cancer risk can increase in the radiated area after 20 years or so, as well as I have to avoid sunshine to the area for the rest of my life. Also, since you meet a lot of raw people, have you met anyone who have seen a reduction in future BCCs and Actinic Keratosis after going raw? I've been eating mostly raw for many years but the BCCs still keep coming (I'm only 47), and I develop lots of Actinic Keratosis whenever I spend time in the sun. Thanks, Patrick
