Subject:         Feingold - salicylate fruits
Date: January 30, 2013 at 2:59 pm PST

When we first went GFCF and then raw a few years ago, I loved
seeing my son's Asperger symptoms disappear. But then he got
hyper. I always joked about that but never thought much of it.
untill now, finding out about the Feingold program. there is a
list of salicylate containing fruits which cause
hyperactivity. My son does better without apples and oranges,
and for a couple years we have been trying to focus on
bananas/smoothies. But he is losing interest. It's funny how
much he is drawn to the food that he reacts to - they are
literally drugs to his brain. But anyway at this point I need
to eat 100% raw, but it's probably better for him not to. He
can do fruit til dinner, then a safe dinner meal that he
doesn't react to, like beans, millet, quinoa, brown rice.

Unless you know something I don't?? any input?
