Subject:         Calorie intake & bowels

I have been following 811 for four weeks now and have just finished reading
your book too. I have noticed so many improvements already. however there are
a couple of things i am concerned about and really would appreciate some

Firstly, i am 111 pounds now (5ft 4inches), I run or swim for an hour 6 days a
week & do 30 mins of weight/core work most days too. My job is desk bound
though. Ideally what calorie intake should i be aiming for? with a history of
eating disorder I am trying to aim for 1500 a day to improve my energy levels. A
guide to how much you honestly think I should be trying to consume would be
so helpful.

Secondly, i seem to be having fewer bowel movements. i wouldn't say i am really
badly constipated but I am going less regularly than when I ate grains and more
fat. Can you see any reason why this should be?
