The flu shot does not create true immunity. My
personal opinion is this: If someone's immunity is
weak enough that they will die from the flu, it
doesn't seem to follow that a flu shot would have done
much for such a person. For someone to become
seriously ill or die from the flu suggests that are
underlying issues going on with their health. I just
cannot see how a lousy flu shot could have such
transforming power, and make a difference between life
or death.

It would be interesting to know how many people among
those who have either died or became seriously ill
from the flu, did actually have a shot. For those who
didn't have a shot, is their lack of flu shot really a
factor in their illness? Rather, was it just
coincidental that they did not have one? Would they
have had the same fate even with the flu shot? This
would be an interesting study.
