Ever know anyone to have an adverse reaction to consuming a small amount of brazil nuts? I rarely eat nuts or seeds but given the brazil nut's rich source of selenium, I decided to eat one (organic) nut at the end of my last meal yesterday (celery, romaine, tomato). Three hours later, a wave of nausea came over me & intensified until I evacuated as well as vomited a bit & then diminished only gradually during the course of the night. Last time I consumed brazil nuts was almost twenty years ago after which I became very nauseated & vomited then too although I had eaten more of them, two or three nuts. I thought I'd be okay now eating just one nut. I've just read that brazil nuts, given its high fat content is more subject to rancidity & can also contain aflatoxins. I did not detect any rancidity in the taste. On the other hand, I did not get the sense it had just been harvested either. Anything to share on this? Thanks, br
