Subject:         Confused about fiber and digestion

I know that fruit contains soluble fiber and I believe the definition of soluble fiber is fiber that is digestible. In-soluble fiber is of course the opposite and is not digestible in the body and just passes right through.

I always thought that we couldn't digest fiber in the first place, no matter what kind of fiber it is.

I'm obviously missing something. Can anyone clear this up for me?
