I have a vegan friend at work who is trying to go raw and talks to me a lot about it because I've been 811rv for a little over a year now. One detail he just can not understand is why I don't juice my fruit and vegetables. My reasoning is that I just like eating whole foods and I think fiber is important. Lately though, he has been very determined to convince me juicing is the way to go. He tells me things like when you drink/eat juice your digestive system is completely freed up to work on other more important things, like cleaning your body. This is why juicing is so "cleansing". He also states that juicing is a more productive way of getting certain nutrients. Although I believe fiber is an important nutrient and works well with the other nutrients. Why is juicing considered so cleansing when just eating some apples is not?
