Hey Doug, Im curious of your opinion of using ice on a swollen joint to ease pain. The swelling is the bodies reaction to bring fresh blood and limit mobility so healing can occur, right? Is icing just limiting the bodies ability to heal? I tore my meniscus and am trying to heal without surgery. The common knowledge is that the meniscus cant heal itself because of limited blood flow. Im doing other excersizes to pump fresh blood around and using a sort of laser, from a chiropractor friend, to stimulate blood flow. Im using ice here or there, just wondering if limiting the much needed blood flow to heal the cartledge. As always, thanks so much for your time. The fact that you've been here answering questions on this board for charity for all these years, really inspires me to be more selfless. Throughout day to day experiences, I sometimes think back to ,"what would doug do?" Thanks for everything, Jeremy
