I have a 33-year-old son with schizophrenia. For many, many years he tried to correct his illness via lifestyle, including diet. His approach was essentially Natural Hygiene, strongly supplemented by the Living Foods Lifestyle of Ann Wigmore. He was extremely careful about toxins, practiced yoga, lived outdoors, meditated, etc, etc. Unfortunately he continued to be psychotic with frequent violent outbursts due to his paranoia, and many hospitalizations, some quite lengthy. It was a nightmare for him and our family. It has only been since he became medication compliant that he's succeeded in stabilizing and living a functional life. He's now successfully at university in an engineering program (straight As). For years and years we all hoped and prayed a natural solution would work. That had always been my mind state and one he grew up around. It didn't work. Did he follow the 811rv program? No, so who knows if that would have made a difference? But I am grateful for his recovery and now understand we cannot rubber stamp solutions for problems.

I have no agenda for this post other than to merely share my experience, for what it's worth. All the best to you Feather!
