Doug,
So, I here you say that it is possible to clear brain disorder with a supervised fast. Short side of the story, my son, 34 displayed symptoms in his late 20's. He experimented with drugs, alcohol, and had a terrible diet. Than everything in his life changed all at once (lost his job, girlfriend, house, dog etc.) At that time I moved to Costa Rica for 5 years. While we were away he disappeared and we thought he might have died. He was living on the streets. A year ago he reappeared and I have been trying to help him with an alternative approach with homeopathy, counseling, a solid home. good food (although cooked) lots of fishing trips, and working with every spiritual healer I know. Everyone says I should give him meds. I say he isn't displaying these symptoms from lack of meds. Needless to say this is why I am not back in Costa Rica. I am seeing improvement, although it's a slow process. I am extremely grateful for his willingness to try and the improvements we have gained. I love him dearly am trying to help him any way I can. I have told him what I heard you once say. One good mom is worth a thousand friends. He chose well! I believe that there is a reason for everything but I recently asked, why me? What I heard was why not? Is it possible that this is calling me to become something? To expand and to grow and to use the knowledge I have accumulated from the healthful living you have taught me over the years? He does trust me unconditionally so we have a solid base. Doug, He looked at me while we were having dinner the other night and said to me, You are smarter than the rest of us. I told him I'm not smarter I'm just not doing the things I used to do that's fogging my brain. That's when the light bulb went on in my head asking, could his mental problems be coming from lifestyle? He's cutting back on fat. No more dairy products in the house except eggs and butter (for now), more raw, daily exercise and sunshine are the changes we are starting with. Any thoughts? Thanks for your consideration.

In Gratitude,
Light as a Feather
