Muscle is not built rapidly. The great news is that a pound of muscle looks tiny next to a pound of fat. If you lose a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle, you'll look considerably smaller. The muscle does work to your advantage. You can lose a pound a week of fat, but that is really pushing the absolute limit. At your weight, I don't recommend trying to lose more than two pounds of fat per month, and even a pound would be sufficient. Instead of instead fixes, think "direction not speed." Health is a lifetime condition.
