Firstly there are very few people who would have known about 811rv in a time that would have allowed them to have practiced the philosophy throughout their lives and lived to over 100. Secondly, in our narcissistic cult of "me" culture, we're so interested in living as long as possible, to extend our reign on this earth. We engage in all manner of "anti-aging" activities. What about living peacefully with our neighbours, loving our children, caring for the non-human species. 811rv is the most humane lifestyle philosophy I have encountered. I am also extremely blessed to have learnt of Non- Violent Communication Theory and Continuum Parenting through this board, both great ambassadors of peace. If we are only eating a certain diet to be "beautiful" and extend our lives, we can then justify a diet such as Atkins (if it hypothetically was successful in achieving those aims) not caring about the unnecessary slaughter of animals and pollution. Let 811rv philosophy lead us to peace within ourselves and love for our environment rather than 127 years of age.
