You're welcome, Bronwyn. I believe Doug briefly alludes to this in The 80/10/10 Diet, but I think I can accurately say over the years that I have found that if I eat more than I expend, fat will result. I expend a lot, so I really haven't gained weight, but I could lose a few more pounds to be at my best. Most folks probably wouldn't say that looking at me, but to be one's best in a sport, one needs to have low body fat. We all have come from a disordered eating background & the change for some to fruits/veggies is easier if one can eat as much as they want, even if it is more than we may need. :) I don't know. Everybody is different emotionwise & backgroundwise, so perhaps it's a personal decision we all make. We look to these various raw food "leaders" to tell us what we should eat & it can be confusing. In the end we are each responsible for ourselves, right? For certain, fruits/veggies are better than cooked foods. The ensuing detox (which is as much emotional as physical) is what causes all the problems, doubts, fears, slipups, questioning, etc. You are definitely not being silly. For someone to tell you you're being silly sounds like they are being abusive to me.
