I have bloating as well that occurs with some foods, and apples is definitely one of them, as well as pears. I do better with most other fruits, but still some bloating and it is always worse for days after I've cheated on 811 (with cooked grains and/or fats) as well as anytime if I've eaten more than like a 1/4 of an avocado or any other raw overt fats.
I have SIBO, which may or may not be your case, and it causes me a lot of bloating (it's biggest symptom) but I have heard apples can cause many people problems because of some bacteria that can be present on it, or maybe it has to do with what the other poster mentioned of fermentable something or other, but the body can react to that mold/bacteria...
I'd try cutting out apples and pears and see if there's any difference- you may need to give it a few days though. Mono fruit all day is best way to figure out if whether the bloating stays even avoiding certain fruit for a few days or not. You could try banana and celery or greens smoothies (add water)if you can manage that for a few days.
I totally understand you about the bloating thing- I hate looking pregnant when I'm not, and yet it's practically every day for me, so I'm still learning and giving it some time...
