Correct, Feather. More is not better, and less is not better either. Aim for the bull's eye, but at least, hit the target. Citrus and fat is not poor food combining. Fats combine well with all acid fruits, and even with most sub-acid fruits, especially when the quantity of fat is quite small. I couldn't list all the veggies, but I did choose to leave certain foods out of the book, for a variety of reasons. Kale is really tough, but edible for sure. Carrots and similar tubers aren't numero uno, but acceptable for sure. Apples and pears are OK, though some folks find they struggle to digest those two fruits. I eat a wide variety, but my staples are similar to yours: lettuce, celery, cucumber, tomato. Are you looking for overall toning, muscle hypertrophy, strength gains, or what, do you know exactly. Then we can talk about who's advice to follow.
