Weight loss from fat, during a fast, averages about 2 pounds per week. The remainder of any other weight lost is water weight.
Each fast must be dealt with individually, and each fast break should be customized to the needs of the individual. There is no "best" way that suits everyone, other than the generic "respectfully."
It is imperative to take into account the length of the fast, the capabilities concerns and history of the individual faster, as well as allowing for considerations such as food quality, likes and dislikes, weight concerns, etc.
