I have seen this concept (eat a ton, even more calories than you burn each day, then after gaining some fat, the body will somehow magically start to become leaner) "preached" in what small amount of time I've spent on 30BAD. There seem to be a number of folks (especially women) who run into this problem, after eating all that they care to. Maybe it's guys too...they just aren't as open to talking about it? :)
I don't know what kind of rational there is to recommend this to people on the 811 diet/lifestyle. Maybe there's something to it that I don't know about, but it seems to me that if there are more calories ingested than expended, added fat will occur...no matter what kind of food is eaten.
Is this issue important enough to warrant the effort it would take to write a small book? Or maybe an article? Or are they correct?
