I'm not a strong proponent of the ideas of right and wrong, at least in the way I think you are asking the question. I have never been one to suggest omitting all overt fats. It seems that far too many people feel the need to "improve" on the way I described 811 in my book, to customize it one way or another. That's fine by me, they can do what they wish. If someone can show me lasting results that are better than 811, I'd love to see them. My friends the Rawbrahs are young kids just finding their way. If they can't be fit and healthy in their 20's, and all of them are in their 20's at the moment, then they are in serious trouble. Their fitness isn't a result of their "diet of the season" approach to eating, as they've been on 20 different diets in as many years. When they have the science, long-term experience with one program, and have helped a few thousand others succeed with that exact program, of course we should all give their dietary advice a listen. Until then, let's just accept that they are young men looking to make their way in life.
