Every species has a specific diet. I wouldn't feed a dog 811, no, as they tend to thrive on a diet that is considerably higher in fat than do humans.
While dogs certainly can thrive as vegetarians, and even as vegans, in nature there are few if any dogs that would intentionally choose to be vegan. I do know of at least one dog that will only eat vegan fare, and turns up her nose at meat of any type, actually choosing not to eat at all rather than eat cereal that has any meat in it. But that dog was raised as a vegan by her owner.
