Hello again! Here are some symptoms that I was experiencing: fatigue (couldn't jog through a room without needing to fall over), chills, weight loss (150lbs at 6'3" when 185 is my typical), hyperthyriodism, resting heart rate of 120, flushing of the face, gastritis, appendicitis, colitis, acid reflux (acute scaring of esophagus), urinating 20-25 times a day, constipation, bloating, hair loss, weakness, exhaustion and probably a few others that I do not recall at the moment. After 9 months of 80/10/10 and after an appendix attack, I threw in the towel and started a McDougal-esqu diet. Most of the symptoms went away; however, the ones that made me research my diet in the first place: the digestive/ acid reflux issues- continues so I opted for a fast. Because of my location at the time, I decided to fast under the former Dr. Scott and did so for the first 2 weeks of the fast. Things didn't work out ideally as Dr. Scott's health situation was unfortunately dire and I returned home (Dr. Scott passed on 4-5 days after I got back to NJ). I "finished" off the 31 days at my Dad's place without any troubling dilemmas with the fast. The fast was cut off early because of stress and my transition into food was far from ideal. At the time of breaking the fast I had still not experienced hunger (oh, another symptom was that I never experienced the feeling of hunger and still don't). Whenever I find a safe place to rest, I plan on undergoing another fast for however long it takes. My digestion is still not ideal, my face still flushes, I do not remember what hunger feels like as I get nausiated instead and my constitution in general is not on par with where it was before. I will not seek professional help this time around as I know what to expect; however, this does not mean that I recommmend that to anyone looking for my opinion in the matter. While at Dr. Scotts institution there were some scary experiences and stories that I heard that I would not wish anyone to experience without supervision. As I stated before, I would suggest to anyone with a disorder (one that I feel comfortable even making a suggestion on of course) to give 80/10/10 a try for X amount of time and if symptoms get worse after a half a year or so to fast. If someone doesn't experience hunger, I also feel that this is a sign that the body does not want food and that fasting should take place. I hope this helps my friend. Again, if you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Doug is much more knowledgeable though :P. Much much much more.
