Subject:         Help on Hives diagnosis

Hi Doug,

I've just been diagnosed with urticaria virus (hives). I have
a red, spotty rash all over my body. My GP has prescribed me
to take the following; flucloxacillin, penicillin VK &
loratidine and was very insistent I start the medication ASAP.

Up until now I have attempted to help myself with what I see
is natural hygiene, i.e. rest, sleep, hydration and a little
grapefruit juice, orange juice, celery and lettuce. My rash
has calmed down in terms of heat and intensity and the persistent headache that I had for 4 days has almost cleared
up. Prior to falling ill I had a virus (mybe flu)for a week
and 2 days prior to the hives starting, I had been scratched
by my cat.

I'm I safe to continue my own treatment & put to one side the
Doc's pills?

If I do so and pursue natural healing, how long will the rash
take to clear up?

Any other comments you have with regards to hives would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Francisca
