I have read in numerous books and through nutrition investigation, that the only way people can become protein deficient is either by being extremely malnourished (basically starving to death), or through strict fruitarianism, where nothing is consumed except fruit. That there does need to be Green Vegetables added to the diet to get enough protein (not a lot, but enough), and possibly also get some necessary fats and oils. Are these other sources not correct? Can you or can you not become protein deficient by only eating fruit over a long period of time? It is what I have understood after a few years of investigating many studies of nutrition.
