| Subject: | Why does Dr. G raham only go for pure fruit? |

This is kind of a odd question. I've been watching a lot of lectures, researching a lot of plant based doctors and supporters out there, but I've noticed only Dr. G goes to the far extreme (if I can call it that) of building a diet solely around fruit and some vegetables.
Doctors like Barnard, Ornish, Campbell, Esselstyn, Mcdougall, and even more all support a plant based diet generally low in fat and recommend as much fruit and veggies that you want. Dr. Graham seems to be the only one to embrace fruit as the center piece of the diet.
I think maybe it's because these doctors just want to keep more vegan options available to attract more people to this lifestyle? Which is great and I support that 100%. This is just my thoughts, but I'm not sure why they don't focus on fruit.
Oh and don't get me wrong I don't think any of these doctors are more right than the other. We are all on the same team and are all working towards the same goals. I mean basically all these different plant based diets are simply that, plant based diets and they are all pretty much exactly the same.
I'd like to get a response from Dr. Graham himself, but what do all of you think about the fruit diet compared to the plant based diets? Fruit diet too extreme for mainstream or just a slightly different approach to basically the same diet?
Most of the diets these doctors recommend are also open-minded enough that if you want to just eat fruits and veggies that's fine, but its not something they really focus on.
Does that make sense?
