Foul wind is caused by putrefying proteins, not just meat. If you don't combine your foods correctly you will have foul wind as the digestion is compromised and the proteins have time to putrefy. A plant based eater's foul wind probably won't be as bad as someone who eats meat since their protein percentage is likely to be much higher. This happens to me every time I eat too many overts and my fat and protein amounts go over the 10% mark.
