Hi Dr D.
I am a young man who has now been sick for 9 years and I am looking for some guidance.
I used to be an elite athlete when I came down with a flu-like illness and have never been the same.
I am very stubborn, so when I first got sick I knew something was wrong, but I continued to force myself to exercise.
To get going in the morning I would take Ephedrine.
I would take naps in the middle of the day and at the end of the day I would take more Ephedrine in order to force myself to exercise.
I am no longer able to exercise and I am spending the majority of time in bed.
I have been diagnosed with OSTEOPOROSIS and Hypercoagulation.
My symptoms are Night Sweats, Fatigue, Muscle Pain, Brain Fog, Body Aches, Muscle Twitches, and Unrefreshed Sleep after 9 hours.
I am also positive for Epstein Barr Virus, CPN Bacteria, and HHV-6 Virus.
I had a Doctor put me on a blood thinner, 3 different antibiotics, and an anti-viral for 14 months.
My liver enzymes got so bad that I finally stopped all drugs. The drugs only made me worse.
I stopped eating meat in July 2012. Since then I eat predominantly raw vegan foods now. I also eat Quinoa, Avocados, and Raw Nuts.
I am also jucing everyday. I like to mix granny smith apples, carrots, beets, celery, lemon, cucumber, and spinach.
I am not feeling any better, but I am not giving up on juicing and raw veganism.
I believe I also have adrenal fatigue. When lying down my blood pressure is 110/55 and heart rate is 75. When I stand up my blood pressure is 115/75 and heart rate is 95.
My Vitamin D levels are low so I am taking a liquid Vitamin D-3 everyday. 10,000 IU.
Do you believe a juice fast or water fast would be more beneficial for me?
I did a 14 day juice fast. I felt better during the fast, but once I started to eat again I felt bad again.
