To clarify, please tell me if this sums up your position:
What you're suggesting is that indeed, microbes, or germs, can cause epidemics that can kill huge swaths of a population.
But survivors of these epidemics survive not by random chance or genetic advantage, but because of their higher level of vitality brought about by better diet, hygiene, and lifestyle.
So you're suggesting that some native Americans were eating better than others, had better sanitary practices, and perhaps did things like fasting and sunbathing, and so when the Europeans showed up with their germs and their friends and family died by the millions, surviving NAs were a bit healthier and so were not stricken at all or survived the illness.
Also, just to clarify, is it your opinion that if we were to be sickened by some sort of a plague, be it something like the 1918 bird flu that struck down mostly healthy people in their prime, that the best course is to fast and sunbath?
I that the best course?
