I don't recall having ever suggested that your desire for water was "all in your head." I hope that was not what you heard me saying. Drink as much water as you need in order to be satisfied. Normal urination frequency typically runs from 8-12 times per 24 hours. More than that can just be inconvenient, but it also can lead to dilution or concentration issues with key nutrients, or it can be a symptom of other health issues. I can't diagnose the headaches solely from the info you provide, or tell you with certainty that they will resolve if you cut down on water, but the experiment is likely worth trying.
