Subject:         Problems with feeding bread to Ducks

While I was impressed by your article about raising a raw vegan child, I was
concerned by what you and Faychesca were feeding the birds. You teach
humans to eat their natural diet, which I wholeheartedly agree with. Animals
also need to eat their natural diet. Feeding bread to birds leaves them
dehydrated, they can choke, it depletes their vitamin and mineral supply, it
swells their bellies, which prevents mineral absorption and they are can become
diseased and die from eating bread. Birds can become dependant on their
feeders and stop their natural foraging. It interferes with their ability to offer
nutrition to their young. Bread being left around ponds invites rats and other
vermin to populate the area. There are signs up everywhere around my local
park about the dangers of feeding bread to the ducks.
